May 23rd  Eight young pupils of Primary 6 at Culter School have "gone green" for Culter by planting over 200 wildflowers in the rough grass of Coronation Park today. The flowers were "plugs", recommended by Forvie Tree Nursery, a specialist in wldflowers, who reared them specially for Culter in Bloom. They should stand tall enoough to show above  the grass and wildflowers already there,  while enriching the variety and providing a spread of seasonal colour - oxeye daisy, pink and red campion, meadow buttercup, meadow cranesbill and tufted vetch. The photo above shows some of them hard at work with Culter in Bloom member Malcolm Sharp.  Donald Macdonald and Erik Stien also assisted.
